Summary:
Artha means 'money'. In household where expenditure exceeds income, Artha is the biggest hurdle one has to cross every day. Artha also means 'meaning' - meaning of relationships, meaning of a broken home / a tired father / overworked mother / frustrated children, the meaning of life. 'Artha' is the story of an Auto-Rickshaw driver, Seenappa and his family exploring the meaning of money and relationship in the trying times of globalization and liberalization of economy. Here the social order is disrupt and man is set against one another! Seenappa shows his anger on his wife, while his children watch. When his son shows his anger on the society Seenappa stands shocked.
