Summary:
Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the American Civil War was a deluge of literature, drama and movies. The years 1911-1915 also marked the passage of movies from nickelodeon theaters to movie palaces showing carefully-prepared feature films. These silent films originally produced between 1913 and 1915 feature plots centered on the Civil War and include one feature film and two nickelodeon films by pioneering producer/director/writer Thomas H. Ince.
