Summary:
When the Nazis invade France in World War II, many Jews must go into hiding. When the Nazis move into the south of France, where Ruth and her family live, the situation becomes desperate. Ruth has to change her name to Renee to blend in with the other children. She is hidden in a Catholic orphanage deep in the country. Ruth is only five years old and she has lost her family, her home, and even her name. Will she ever see her parents again?
