Summary:
"The history you find in this book includes several generations who have lived and attended school in Monona County. Many students started in one-room, country schools that were served by hearty, versatile teachers. The West Monona Community School District was established during 1962. The District included previously independent school districts of Blencoe, Castana, Onawa, and Turin. This history book honors those who attended school and graduated prior to and since the consolidation on 1962. It is intended to share some highlights of students and accomplishments over the years. It may serve as a resource during those family discussions about who graduated in what year and whit whom."--Foreword.
