Summary:
Ghostbusters (1984, 105 min.): When kooky, spooky college profs Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz and Egon Spengler lose their university jobs, they decide to go freelance de-haunting houses in a new ghost removal service. As soon as they open their doors, their first order of business becomes saving beautiful cellist Dana Barrett and nerdy Louis Tully who have inadvertently opened the gates of Hell. Groundhog Day (1993, 101 min.): A weatherman is caught in a personal time warp on the worst day of his life. Teamed with a relentlessly cheerful producer and a smart-aleck cameraman, TV weatherman Phil Connors is sent to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to cover the annual Groundhog Day festivities. But on his way out of town, Phil is caught in a giant blizzard which he failed to predict and finds himself stuck in a small town hell. Just when things couldn't get any worse, they do. Stripes (1981, extended cut, 123 min.): When John Winger loses his apartment, girlfriend and job all in one day, he does what any red-blooded American would do: he joins the Army and nearly starts World War three.
