Recently widowed Kezia moves from San Francisco to New York, determined to start fresh. She sells her home and her late husband's company, freeing herself from board responsibilities. She settles in a midtown penthouse near her adult daughters and befriends her movie-star neighbor, Sam. When a crisis hits the city, Kezia and Sam bond over volunteering, leading to a transformative friendship.
