Summary:
A couple and another man are on a mountain climbing trip when the woman's husband dies. The wife is charged with murder for allegedly cutting the rope which supported her husband. She was the sole beneficiary of his life insurance policy, however her attorney presented her case effectively and she was not convicted. Sometime later, she and the other man fell in love and were about to marry when the woman confessed that she did indeed cut the rope out of hatred for her husband. He is horrified to hear this and breaks off the relationship. She subsequently commits suicide.
