As WW II draws to an end, four Buffalo Soldiers from the U.S. Army find themselves separated from their unit and behind enemy lines in Italy. Risking their lives for a country were they are treated with less respect than the enemy, they discover humanity in a small Tuscan villagae and in the unspoken affection of an orphaned child.
