Summary:
"In Peveroni's play, several generations of an immigrant/Uruguayan family break conventional matrimonial bonds and familial ties, in order to replicate them in incestuous and sinister ways with the family tree. These 'fractal' relationships stretch across three generations and span Uruguay's twentieth and twenty-first centuries' realities. The play designates several periods of interest: 1930, 1968, 1975, and 2001. These moments mirror either international events such as the Great Depression, world-wide student protests, and the September 11th attacks in New York, or regional activities like the centennial celebration of Uruguay's first Constitution of 1830 and the dictatorships of the 1970s and 1980s."--P. 6.
