These extracts are taken from the first part of the "Relaciones" (p. 1-376) being a summarized translation, with digressions, of Mīr Khāwand's "Rauzat-us-safā." "A short account of the most notable provinces and those that have continued longest under the dominion of Persia" (p. [240]-255) by Teixeira, translated from p. 377-384 of the first part of the "Relaciones." "Relation of the chronicle of the kings of Ormuz ... composed by a king ... named Pachaturunxa, written in Arabic [i.e. Persian] and summarily translated into the Portuguese language by a friar of the order of Saint Dominick": p. [256]-267. The Portuguese translation of Tūrān Shāh's work formed an appendix (11 p.) to Gaspar da Cruz's "Tractado ... da China", 1569, and has been attributed to him. Master microform held by: McE.
