Cleveland, M.D. of Vancouver, B.C. to Dr. Maurice J. Strauss of New Haven, Connecticut. The letter contains the following: Dear Doctor Strauss:- Thank you very much for your letter of appreciation of February 24th, 1948. Erasmic soap was very popular among the higher quality toilet soaps made in England, and I used it for many years. It was easily procured in Canada prior to 1939. When I was living in New York in 1921 I used to get it there. I am not certain whether it was handled by Lord and Taylor or I got it through a local distributor on the cross-street just west of 5th Avenue, on the corner where Lord and Taylor's was situated. I have not seen it advertised lately but am pretty sure I can find an ad. for you in an old copy of "Punch" from my files at home. With kind regards, Yours truly, D.E.H. Cleveland, M.D. IaU
