For Lark, the end of the summer on Swallowtail is all good. Her family made the big decision to stay on the island for the whole year. And Lark is volunteering for a prestigious writers' conference, Swallowtales. There, her writer friend Nadine assigns Lark to assist a famous young adult author, the woman who wrote Lark's favorite book. But the glory quickly evaporates when Lark discovers the real Ann E. Keyheart. A writer who has come to Swallowtail Island for revenge.
