Amnesia strikes Laura Collier when she disembarks from a train whose stop is the mysterious Maine village of Evergreen Bay. She finds a slip of paper in her hand with a single address. One taxicab ride later, she is ceremonially dumped in front of Highwood Manor, which she discovers is haunted. She has arrived to get rid of all the ghosts. Hired by handsome Michael Sinclair, she gets to work with the help of a maid named Moira. Together they begin to unravel the mysteries of the large Sinclair family who live there, past and present. The place is most certainly haunted, and Laura uses her unique talents to speak with the dead and help them find peace. But when a murder occurs the danger ramps up as old secrets come to light that should have stayed hidden. Working with ghosts, secrets and a budding romance, Laura Collier deals with her own unknown past while solving the past and present mysteries of the Sinclair family.
