Summary:
Under the guise of a normal life, Ella Black hides a disturbing trait. Inside her nests a destructive impulse, which she calls Bella (contraction of Bad Ella), that seizes her actions and wreaks havoc on her daily life. However, this intimate battle is not her only secret: after being forced by her parents to a hasty and inexplicable trip to Brazil, she will discover that her existence is based on a deception. Disgusted and confused, she embarks on a desperate search that will lead her to a most unsuspected place, the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, hoping to uncover the truths and lies that, like two opposing forces, tend to illuminate and also overshadow the deepest aspects of oneself.
