Summary:
Full of lively wit, surprising twists, and gorgeous period detail, the 1960s-set spinoff to the beloved Australian mystery series returns with new adventures for Phryne Fisher₂s plucky niece, Peregrine. Now established as a private detective, Peregrine works out of the Melbourne Adventuress Club with assistance from tough former spy Birdie Birnside and brilliant biologist Violetta Fellini. With her partner in crime-solving, Detective James Steed, Peregrine contends with a double homicide after a swingers party, the murder of a flight attendant trainee, a human death at a dog show, a brawl between rockers and mods, and more. But her budding romance with the handsome copper is threatened by society's expectations for women, and the resulting strain makes working with the police even more difficult.
