Juan, a Cuban construction worker who settled in Albuquerque, returns to Havana for the first time in twenty years. He is traveling with his American wife, Sharon, and has come back to catch up with his old college circle: Victor, his estranged best friend-- now Victoria, running a drag show at the Café Arabia; and his ex-girlfriend, Elsa, with whom he never quite fell out of love; and Rosita. Then one of the women turns up dead.
