Libby's great aunt, Lobo, is from Mexico, but the United States has been her home for many years, and she wants to become a U.S. citizen. Lobo will have to recite the Pledge of Allegiance at a special ceremony for new citizens. Libby is also learning the Pledge, and will lead her class in saying it at the end of the week. So Libby and Lobo decide to practice together - asking questions and sharing stories - until they are both ready to stand proud, with their hands over their hearts. -- Back cover.
