Summary:
The gorilla: the Ritz brothers stalk a creature--either man or beast--that give his victims a 24-hour warning, then murders them on the stroke of midnight.
Black dragons: following the outbreak of World War II, Japanese spies known as "Black Dragons" ingeniously transformed by plastic surgery into doubles of prominent American business leaders, use their disguises to cause sabotage, labor unrest, and other measures to destroy the U.S. economy. The Nazi doctor who has performed the surgery now bears a grudge against the Japanese, visits the fifth columnists, and, after turning them into zombies, sadistically murders them.
The corpse vanishes: Dr. Lorenz, a mad scientist, wants to keep his elderly wife young. He does this by kidnapping young females and extracting fluid from them. He then injects this fluid into his wife.
Bowery at midnight: Professor Brenner is a kindly soup kitchen operator in the Bowery by day and the boss of a dangerous gang of robbers and murderers by night. After his henchmen get in trouble, the professor has no choice but to kill them and turn them into zombies.
The ape man: conducting weird scientific experiments, crazed Dr. James Brewster, aided by his colleague Dr. Randall, has managed to transform himself into a hairy, stooped-over ape-man. Desperately seeking a cure, Brewster believes only an injection of recently-drawn human spinal fluid will prove effective. With Randall refusing to help him, it falls to Brewster and his captive gorilla to find appropriate donors.
Ghosts on the loose: The East Side Kids fix up a newlywed couple's house in the suburrbs and discover it is a hideoout for Nazi spies.
One body too many: a salesman arrives at the spooky mansion of a tyrannical millionaire hoping to sell him an expensive life insurance policy. He is surprised to find that the prospective customer is lying in his coffin surrounded by greedy hears awaiting the reading of his will. A mysterious killer is at large, picking off the conniving relatives one-by-one.
Scared to death: told by a dead woman, the pieces of her puzzling murder slowly fall into place.
Bela Lugosi meets a Brooklyn gorilla: A mad scientist meets a team of Martin-and-Lewis imitators in a jungle and turns one of them into a gorilla.
Spooks run wild: when the East Side Kids run away from a camp for underprivileged children, they end up spending the night in a haunted mansion as guests of the spooky Bela Lugosi.
