It's not quite the same. As Miyano's senior year passes by and Sasaki starts getting used to college, the strain of not spending every day together begins weighing on Sasaki's mind. That's why it's a welcome relief when he and Miyano finally get a chance to go on a date -- spending Sasaki's birthday with each other for the first time since they got together. And yet, just being with Miyano isn't enough anymore.
