Three role-playing teens are shot in a secluded Swedish meadow and when one of Kurt Wallander's most trusted colleagues turns up dead, Wallander knows the murders are related-but with only one clue he can't imagine how. As Wallander tracks the lethal progress of the killer he is locked in a desperate effort to catch him before he strikes again.
