"The Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde is publication no. 114 in the Arion Press catalogue. The book was designed and produced in San Francisco by the staff--Brian Ferrett, Megan Gibes, Chris Godek, Paul Kantlehner, Mulan Leong-Suzuki, Beth McLaughlin, Jeffrey Raymond, and Blake Rily--with additional assistance from Samantha Campanatico, Nathalie Roland, Sarah Songer, and Rochelle Youk. The type is Bookman in both Monotype and hand composition, ornamented with Phyllis initial capitals, designed by Heinrich Wieynck, from the press's extensive collection of historic types. The type and artwork have been printed by letterpress on Raffaello 90gsm, crafted by the Magnani paper mill in Pescia, Italy. The eiditon is limited to 250 copies for sale and signed by the artist, Sandow Birk, twenty-five of which are bound in a deluxe edition signed by both artist and Wilde's grandson, Merlin Holland. An additional twenty-six lettered copies hors de commerce have been reserved for complimentary distribution to participants in the project."--Colophon. Issued in a slipcase.
