Summary:
Whispering shadows: Just before his sudden death, a businessman accuses his son-in-law of embezzlement. His daughter is convinced of her fiance's innocence and tries to clear his name and unmask the real villain and is aided by secret messages...from her dead father. Or are they? The devil's assistant: Portrays the ravages of opiates, the terrible drugs which drive the user to deeds of desperation--enslave her will--enchain her to those who use or dispense the 'dope.'
