Summary:
For me and my gal: A vaudeville song-and-dance team buck tough times and World War I on their way to success in show business. The Harvey girls: Susan meets a cheery group of young women traveling out to open a 'Harvey House' restaurant at a remote whistle stop to provide good cooking and wholesome company for railway travelers. In the good old summertime: In old Chicago, two employees at Oberkugen's music shop have a serious misunderstanding of the heart. Summer stock: Romance blooms during the summer in New England when Jane Falbury's sister shows up with a theatrical troupe and convinces her to let them stage a musical in the barn.
