The Metropolitan Museum acquires a chalice through a European art dealer. Soon an English archaeologist claims it was stolen from him. The dealer, when pressed, says that he bought it from a collector in Corsica. The museum's curator of classical art secretly flies to Europe in hope of finding the truth.
