Summary:
Pepita Piquer does not remember that her sister Flora and her friend Anita, with whom she often talks, passed away a long time ago. Nor that he has four children or that he no longer works at the candy factory on Trafalgar Street, as he did when he was young. One of her great obsessions was that her children would not take her to a residence when she was older, but Alzheimer's is raging and they end up admitting her. Faced with the impact of this new situation, one of the children, a literature teacher, decides to write a novel. With delicacy, tenderness and deep humanity, he turns several of the residents who live with his mother into fascinating literary characters that will surprise the reader. Through a narration that distills irony and humor, he manages to make the tragedy funny while still being tragic and ends up discovering that writing about his mother is also a way of being together. --Back cover
