Summary:
This book reflects on the analysis of the city as a plural space in literary works of recent decades. The chapters that constitute it address the issue of plurality with all the nuances that lie between the opposite poles of coexistence and hostility, and are organized around three broad geographical axes: European, African and Hispanic American cities. The texts that compose it speak of the collective imaginary that awakens the body of the city in those who read and narrate it, as well as on the inscription of fictions in the history of cities and their representation of the lives, situations or experiences that develop in urban landscapes. The research proposed here continues that of several previous projects of the UCM research group led by Eugenia Popeanga 'La aventura de viajar y sus escrituras'.
