Summary:
The sacrifice of personal happiness and romantic fulfillment for the greater good of their family's interests, requires that both Nisha and Prem make a painfully difficult choice. Upon the untimely death of her beloved sister, Nisha's brother-in-law is consumed with anxiety about the upbringing of his motherless newborn son. A visiting physician prescribes a quick second marriage, preferably to someone who will nurture the child as her own, and the obvious candidate is Nisha. The only snag is that unknown to their families it is Prem that Nisha loves and it is his brother she is being asked to marry.
