He published enduring novels, novellas, and short stories in many genres: fables, satires, romances, voyages into the unknown. He collaborated with other major sf writers--Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, Theodore Sturgeon, Jack Williamson--on other novels. The Space Merchants (1953), written with C. M. Kornbluth, is an established classic.
