Summary:
Max Fischer, a tenth-grader at Rushmore Academy, is involved in too many extra-curricular activities, and, as he tries to avoid getting expelled because of his grades, Max befriends a first-grade teacher, whom he falls in love with, and a melancholy, self-made millinaire.
