Summary:
East Berlin, 1988: Marco Kaiser doesn't fit in. The 18-year old is rebelling against his parents and the system, constantly challenging his strait-laced father, a high ranking Stasi-Offizier. When Marco and his new friend are arrested an a punk concert, his father arranges his release only under one condition: Marco must join the NVA in return. Here the rebellious punk will be turned into a real soldier--prepared to defend Socialism against all enemies, while his mother, his true love and a hundred thousand others across the country are fighting for change On the 9th of November the two sides face off. Based on true accounts, the author and director portray The Change as a gripping family drama.
