'The Tuckenhay paper samples' is a gathering of twenty-two sheets of paper that were salvaged from the Tuckenhay Mill when its contents were being burned. Copies 1-10 have all the paper samples. Copy 1 has one hundred additional sample papers from the Tuckenhay Mill. Copy 2 has ten duplicates from the additional sample papers. Copies 11-16 lack sample 1. Copies 17-28 lack samples 1, 6, 7 & 10. Copies 29-30 lack samples 1, 6, 7, 10, & 12. 'Handmade paper in Tuckenhay Devon' was printed in 1977 by C.E. McNally of Totnes ... author, Catherine Cox ... 'Three hundred years of paper making' was published by Arnold and Foster, and printed in 1948 by the Curwen Press of London." It has forty-four pages and fifteen tipped-in paper samples. The Tuckenhay Mill acquired the stock and rights to produce Arnold papers in the mid-1950s. These pamphlets came with that acquisition and were salvaged from the Tuckenhay Mill when its contents were being burned.--Colophon of introductory pamphlet.
