(Producer) When a spinal cord injury occurs, both life and the quality of life hang in the balance. This program explores the most promising scientific breakthroughs in the treatment of spinal cord injuries, including nerve regeneration and electrical stimulation devices. Compelling case studies of survivors of spinal cord injuries address the various degrees of paralysis and explain why swift and aggressive care at the time of the injury is crucial to all levels of recovery.
