Summary:
In 1954 the federal government implements the Indian Termination Act, disbanding tribes and stripping Indians of land. By 1961, pay-offs are funnelling down to the displaced in the form of $43,000 checks. For three Klamath brothers, Rollin, Creek, and Pokey, the anticipation of the money inspires vastly different plans. Meanwhile, growing tensions between whites and Indians on the reservation threatens to erupt in violence.
