Summary:
Jeopardized by an encroaching void known as The Nothing, the creatures of Fantasia, and its Child-Empress must rely on the young warrior Atreyu and on the faith of Bastian, who by reading the book about Atreyu's adventures, has lived and suffered with them all. Bastian returns to his fantasy world, where he must save it from an evil sorceress, and discovers the courage he lacks in real life.
