"Fourteen haiku poems by master jeweler Albion Smith have been letterpress printed from printing plates made by Albion using 1,217 letters individually hand-cut from jewelers' sheet copper. The six different colored sheets of paper used for the edition were made from Albion's workclothes. The text was bound in full leather using black pigskin, with a example of Albion's copper pierce-work inlaid on the cover." -- Publisher's website, http://www.baymoon.com/~peteranddonna/2-only.htm. Accompanied by a 29 page booklet titled: Making the book, Only love : a collaboration between Peter & Donna Thomas and Albion Smith. "Albion Smith is a jeweler and silversmith. His work is in the Smithsonian. Peter and Albion made the paper from Albion's workshirts, then printed the text and illustrations using Albion's hand-cut copper letters and embellishments mounted on metal plates.
