Hum 255: In 1969 a group of University of Chicago students occupied the Administration Building to protest the firing of Professor Marlene Dixon. As a result, 42 students were expelled and 81 suspended. A year later a documentary film workshop filmed a meeting between the class and two of the expelled students. Includes footage of the occupation as well as the subsequent workshop as the students explain their motivations and the discussion that results.
What the fuck are these red squares?: Students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago strike and protest the killing of students at Kent State and Jackson State Universities with a series of "revolutionary seminars" that explores the role of artists in society and the connections between art and money in the U.S.
