When Joy Atkins finally snags a last-minute appointment with Sassie Crane, Charleston's premier hairstylist, she thinks her day is really looking great. But when she arrives at the salon, the client who canceled shows up, and it turns out she's Sassie's best friend, Hannah. As Sassie works double time to do both Joy's and Hannah's hair, Hannah unexpectedly collapses and is rushed to the hospital. Then Joy witnesses her daughter, Sabrina, suffer a bicycle accident that lands her in a bed at Mercy Hospital. Joy learns that Hannah may have been poisoned and that the driver who hit Sabrina was fleeing Sassie's warehouse, where a safe has been stolen. Now she begins to wonder if somehow the events are connected. Can Joy get to the root of things before someone else gets hurt?
