Summary:
Andrei Filipov was the greatest conductor of the famous Bolshoi Orchestra. He was fired as a conductor for not abandoning his Jewish musicians. Thirty years later, he still works at the Bolshoi; but as a janitor. One day he happens upon an invitation for the orchestra to play in Paris. He has a crazy idea. Rather than letting the director of the orchestra know about this, he will get his old musician friends together and they will go perform in Paris.
