A crusty, frontier-wise fur trapper loses his hard-earned cargo of pelts to a band of "friendly" Kiowas in exchange for a runaway slave they have captured. The educated, city-bred runaway is as determined to get his freedom as the trapper is to get his furs back. Enter a band of marauding scalphunters and all hell breaks loose.
