Summary:
Jens Jensen rose up from street-sweeper to the Dean of American Landscape Architecture. He battled endemic civic corruption to design Chicago's great parks as idealized prairie landscapes; saved the Indiana Dunes from becoming a giant steel mill; and designed over 600 landscapes for clients like Henry Ford and Julius Rosenwald.
