Includes bibliographical references and indexes. The work is a critical edition of the Jewish physician/philosopher Daniel de Ávila Gallego's Diálogo del colorado, a study on scarlet fever. Ávila Gallego was a Sephardic Jew who studied at the University of Salamanca, and settled in Thessalonikē, where he wrote this work. Preserved in a single aljamiado copy in the Library Ets Haim in Amsterdam, it is one of the few existing Sephardic works prior to the eighteenth century.
