Summary:
Having been employed in various roles throughout his life, Lord Cazaril is now seeking a menial job in the kitchens of Dowager Provincara. Instead, however, he is assigned to be the tutor to Iselle, the sister of the heir to Chalion's throne. In his position, Cazaril is forced to confront powerful enemies while also testing his fortitude against the ancient curse that embraces the royal household.
