When fourteen-year-old Brian gets a summer job as batboy for the Detroit Tigers, he gets excited to spend time on the inside and spend time with his Dad who is never around. But when Brian's hero Hank Bishop is drafted back onto the team, he discovers that all of the players are more human than he realized.
