Summary:
Harper is a twelve-year-old, spitfire cowgirl from Anabel, Missouri. Armed with a slingshot and her wits, she strives to right the wrongs in her small community ... cowgirl style. Both the bullies she battles, and the people she helps, refer to her as "Kid West.". In the meantime, her mother Faye worries herself sick about Harper's unsafe adventures. When Harper & Faye move to the small town of Afton, Minnesota, Harper meets a handful of colorful characters, including Angie, a coolheaded Native American girl her own age, a friendly old Sheriff, and Braden, a nasty bully with a small gang of cronies. Braden believes in an urban legend about a mysterious treasure supposedly having mystical powers. Harper and Angie join forces to find the treasure befor Braden and his gang try to use it for their own despicable purposes ...
