Features the works of sculptor Christian Petersen. Gives close-up detail of some of the works in his studio and shows other sculptures in place on the Iowa State University campus. Features a segment on the Fisher Community Center in Marshalltown, Iowa and the lake where his last work of art, Dedication to the future, will be placed. Shows the Madonna of the Schools in location at St. Cecelia School, Ames. Effects of being exposed to the elements is shown on some of the works.
