This video explains how the basic communication model, involving sender, reciever, and message, forms the foundation ofthe communication process in nursing leadership and management. The ability to communicate effectively, whether verbally, non-verbally, or in writing, is a crucial component of effective leadership and management. This video uses clips of interviews with nurse managers, scenarios, narrative, and graphics to present key concepts such as the elements of verbal and nonverbal communication, distinguishing between social and professional communication, understanding how cultural differences affect communication, choosing words carefully, and listening actively.
