Summary:
King Mufasa is the revered ruler of Pride Rock and the surrounding lands. He teaches his son, Simba, about the circle of life, the delicate balance of nature which bonds all animals together, and prepares him to be ruler. Scar, Mufasaơs brother, schemes with his hench hyenas to kill Mufasa in a wildebeest stampede. He convinces Simba that he is responsible for his fatherơs death and he flees to a carefree land. Simbaơs childhood friend, Nala, convinces him to return home to face his duty as king. He finds a land ruined by Scar and the hyenas. With the help of the lionesses, Simba expels Scar and the hyenas and takes his place as king.
