Summary:
An exciting drama about a passionate love affair set in postwar Russia. Philip Sutherland, a foreign correspondent based in Russia, falls in love with a ballerina, Maria Lamarkina. They marry to return to the United States together but Cold War politics intervene and she is detained in Russia by the KGB while Philip is escorted home. Political intrigue, fabulous ballet sequences and a timeless love story make this thrilling drama a classic.
