Commissioned by Sidney Bernstein, chief of the Psychological Warfare section of the Supreme Headquarters of Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF), the film looks deep into what went on in the infamous German concentration camps. As it was deemed unsuitable to show at the time, it was stored away in the vaults of the Imperial War Museum (IWM) and found 40 years later by an American researcher.
