Summary:
A balsero (rafter) flees from Cuban dreams gone wrong and lands in a Miami of no return, where desperation to change his life leads him to commit despicable acts. A controversial and subversive taste of an imagined freedom, Paraiso explores generational and class divides within the Cuban exile community seldom addressed in cinema. This movie, part thriller, part drama, part existential romance, explodes with heart, color, and music.
